Apple launches its new iPhone in September, every year. 2020 may be an atypical year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and we may see a delay in the launch of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro.
Apple iPhone 12 model numbers
Our sources point that the iPhone 12 series will be validated by the EVT (Engineering Validation and Testing) at the end of June 2020.
We’ve spotted nine upcoming iPhone models on the EEC certification platform. The new unannounced phone from the Cupertino tech giant are A2176, A2172, A2341, A2342, A2399, A2403, A2407, A2408 and A2411. The existing Apple iPhones don’t include the previous numbers. We are sure that we are discussing about the new iPhone 12 model which will appear this year.
The first A2176 and A2172 seems to be the model number for the affordable models, entry levels, probably iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max. The following model numbers (A2341, A2342, A2399, A2403, A2407, A2408 and A2411) could be the new iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, the flagship from Apple. The EEC reveals also that the new iPhone could run on the iOS 13 OS.
The entry-level A21 series could have 5.4 inches and will come with a low price.
The A23 series, the first two models, are the iPhone 12 Max which may have a 6.1 inches display and is supposed to replace the current iPhone 11 model. There is a mysterious A2399 model which suggests that could be iPhone 12 Max however the 99 suggests that it may be a different product. Maybe we can see a 5G? We will see.
The A24 series stands for iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Apple iPhone 12 5G and iPhone 12 Pro 5G
We are sure that we will see a redesigned new iPhone for the first time in the latest 3 years. We could see the 5G modem to every model and thanks to LiDAR. The LiDAR system was firstly used on the new iPad Pro 2020. We’ve covered every tech aspects for the iPad Pro 2020 here.
12 and 12 Pro prices
The good news is that we will see the 5G on every iPhone 12, without an increase in price. Samsung was forced to raise the price for its 5G flagships. For the first time in history, Apple may come with a better price than its rivals, Samsung. With the S20 5G, Samsung raised the price with 20%.
